The Constipated Cow Series

FUN FACT: Chia seeds have more calcium than cows milk. (whoop whoop (insert fist pump emoji here)- in your face constipating cows)!!

It all started a few years back when I had gotten Zay a Chia Pod from Fresh Market when we were visiting my mom in Florida and he LOVED it. One problem... they were SOOO expensive. So I did a little research, confident these could be made at home and I found a recipe online. Since then, I have adapted for "Zay approved" consumption. :)  They are SUPER easy to make and a great snack to add some calcium to your diet. If you'd like to give it a whirl, here's the recipe!

Ingredients:

1 cup almond milk (homemade to unsweetened store bought)

1/4 cup chia seeds

Sprinkle in some Cinnamon (Zay loves cinnamon so I always add a lot :)

OPTIONAL: Drizzle in a little agave or honey (for sweetness) OR puree a (very) ripe banana (for some extra fruit!) and add in

Mix well with a fork for at least 1 minute

Cover and store in fridge overnight to thicken

Enjoy for breakfast or a snack!
